The safety of our people, contractors, and our communities comes first. We work with our partners on programs focused on public safety, access to basic services, and resource efficiency.
AES Mong Duong has implemented an educational program on electricity safety that includes presentations and games to provide helpful information and increase awareness for the people in the local Cam Hai commune.
Since 2007, AES El Salvador has provided education to more than half a million children and adults on the efficient and safe use of electrical energy.
AES México partnered with a local university to implement EnerLab, a social energy challenge that tasked students to solve a problem in our communities using renewable energy solutions.
AES Panama launched an initiative to bring electric power to the homes in the community where we operate.
Since 2001, through AES Rural Energy, we have contributed to reduce the number of households without electricity.
Cam Pha city, home to an AES Vietnam power plant, has 16 clinics that provide basic health care services to approximately 200,000 people. The city has recently launched a program to upgrade all 16 local clinics, including a key initiative to develop a database of the city’s entire population that can be shared among local clinics.
On May 22nd 2018, a partnership between the AES Dominicana Foundation and the Dominican Rehabilitation Association was launched to support people with physical disabilities and offer physical, occupational, language therapy, pedagogy and other services.
