AES’ Augusta Solar project is a proposed solar facility in Augusta County, Virginia. As the long-term owner and operator, AES is committed to responsible clean energy development that creates long-term positive impact for both the environment and local communities. The Augusta Solar project will incorporate the most advanced solar energy technologies to support the Commonwealth’s goal to transition its electric grid to 100% clean energy by 2050.

Stuarts Draft and Lyndhurst area homes and businesses will receive clean energy produced by the project

Augusta Solar is designed to avoid impacts to wetland, streams, and rivers to the extent practicable, and the design allows for corridors for wildlife to access these valuable resources

At the end of the project's life, a decommissioning plan allows for the land to return to agricultural use or other uses consistent with land-use policies at the time
